What is HEALS?
HEALS raises awareness about sexual assault and intimate partner violence among high school and college students through education and advocacy. By providing accurate information on both topics, HEALS aims to remove the stigma of speaking out and encourage students to speak openly about sexual assault and partner violence. In addition to educating students, HEALS will act as a liaison for students and survivors to local resources and individual rights. HEALS believes as that educating teens and young adult about the violence and how violence may look, is the way to create a bright and violent free future. We hope to be the voice for students and community members who feel they have no voice.
Though we do not directly provided services to individuals who are victims of sexual assault and intimate partner violence, HEALS has teamed up with various local organizations to provide survivors and their families with resources and information if needed.
HEALS is dedicated to raising awareness about sexual assault and domestic violence by starting the conversation among high school and college students. We will educate and encourage them to speak out and stand against sexual assault and domestic violence.
HEALS hopes to change the way society views sexual assault and domestic violence by starting the conversation and educating our friends, family, and communities about sexual assault and domestic violence.
